Karate lessons for kids and adults
Welcome to, Simply Isshinryu Karate & Fitness
If you are looking for “karate lessons for kids near me” or even “martial arts classes near me”, you are at the right place. Read further to know what we offer:
Over the last 28 years we have been teaching Isshinryu Karate to students of all ages. Our dojo uses a standardized curriculum that ensures consistency and fairness in determining when karate-ka (karate students) are eligible for promotion. We teach all of the traditional Isshinryu Karate "empty hand" and weapons katas. While sparring is not a strict requirement, we highly encourage our karate-ka to spar once they reach orange belt.
We offer beginner, advanced, and black belt karate / martial arts classes. We welcome karate-ka and black belts (Dans) that have training in other styles. Click on our class schedule, for further information about class schedules.
Karate is a martial art that has been around since the early 20th century. The art has developed into many different styles and sub-styles, but all of them focus on one thing: self-defense.
The basic moves of karate are the foundation for everything else you'll learn in your karate training. Every move you learn will be based off of these basic techniques, so it's important that you understand what they are and how they work together before moving on to more advanced techniques like self-defense or tournament fighting moves.
Karate is a great sport which can be learned at any age. Karate is good for your health. It can help you stay fit and healthy, as well as improve your confidence and self-esteem. Karate also teaches you self-defense techniques that can be used if someone tries to hurt you or your family members. Karate is fun, so there are no excuses not to try it!
If you have never tried karate before, it's time to try now!
